Stop asking whether anything changed

VAT changes as the Financial Administration publishes them
A removal from the VAT register for breaching obligations is reported the same day the Financial Administration publishes it, with the removal date and the year of the breach. Other departures, new registrations and tax reliability index changes arrive with the weekly import.

Two questions before every invoice
Does the customer charge VAT? And from January 2027, can they be sent an e-invoice? Both answers by company ID — and when a company enters or leaves the VAT register, or registers on Peppol, you see it in the change feed.
A VAT ID does not make a VAT payer
One in four Slovak companies with a VAT ID is registered under § 7 or § 7a: it holds an IČ DPH but is not a VAT payer. VIES reports that VAT ID as valid, so anyone relying on VIES alone easily marks it a payer. We return the paragraph it is registered under and whether it is a payer, as the Financial Administration publishes it. It decides, for example, whether the domestic reverse charge applies and whether a supplier's invoice may carry VAT at all.
Check a company ID or VAT IDE-invoicing readiness
From 1 January 2027 a Slovak VAT payer registered under § 4, § 4b or § 4c must send most invoices for domestic supplies to other businesses as e-invoices over Peppol — and every company and business it invoices must be able to receive them. Find out whether a customer is registered on the network and actually receives invoices — checked against the network itself (SML), not the Peppol Directory, which lists only some companies. We also flag companies registered under an identifier other than the one the law prescribes: they are on the network, but an invoice addressed by their tax ID will not reach them.

We repair the register's mistakes for you
Data travels from the commercial and trade registers into the Register of Legal Entities, and some of it breaks along the way. Accents fall off, spaces disappear, a missing date gets filled in with a stand-in. We repair that before it reaches you — and we tell you what we left alone.

What we repair
We put back the accents that fell off along the way, and the spaces that went missing. And where the register filled a missing date with 1 January 1800, we leave the field empty instead — so you do not read a stand-in as a real date.
What we leave alone
Incorrect dates and addresses with no postal code are flagged, not filled in. A value we invented would look trustworthy and nobody would question it again. That is worse than a mistake you can see.
We never touch a company name
We only repair what we can prove is really a mistake. An apostrophe in a name is not one, so it stays — even where it looks odd at first glance.
