In brief

The Register of Legal Entities (RPO) brings together the commercial register, the trade register and other source registers; the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic publishes it.
We hold over 2.2 million Slovak subjects and process the change file every night.
Search tolerates typos and missing diacritics; the detail returns addresses, activities, officers and shareholders.
Damaged diacritics and placeholder dates are corrected, with the register's original text kept available.

What the register holds

Name, company ID (IČO), legal form, dates of establishment and termination.
Registered addresses including past ones, with validity dates.
Business activities and SK NACE codes.
Statutory bodies, shareholders and their contributions.

What we add

The register inherits the defects of its sources. Diacritics arrive decomposed ("Vy´roba" for "Výroba"), an unknown date is written as 1 January 1800, and a non-breaking space turns into a question mark. We repair only what the data itself can prove, and return every change with the original text at /organizations/{cin}/corrections.

For natural persons the detail carries no personal identifier, and an address only down to the municipality.

What to watch for

Store the company ID as text. Leading zeros are part of it.
The same ID can exist in both the Slovak and the Czech register; without a country parameter the API answers 300 and offers both.
The X-Data-Synced-At header says when we last synced the register.
